Faithful Finish Lines – Michele’s Journey

Today is cold and rainy with occasional heavy downpours. It is a perfect day to stay under the covers and work on writing, job search and school work from the Business and Marketing Writing online course I am taking this month.

Rommie is curled up on a rug beside my bed. We’ve both had lunch and now it is time for me to get back to work. Since I’ve done my school work and job search, it is now time for blogging – blogging about a new adventure.

My New Adventure

I’ve  joined Sara Borgstede’s Faithful Finish Lines. It was an opportunity I discovered while participating in the 31 Days program in October.

A Faithful Finish Line is a short-term, specific goal that will recreate fitness and mission in your life.

Sara Borgstede

It is a 7 week journey and at the end I will have refreshed my commitment to God, myself and my health. My fitness goal was to easily walk a mile.  However, that has changed to fully recovering from and strengthening the pulled muscle behind my left knee.  I am making progress with this goal at the pace God wants for me.Yes, once again God and I have different ideas about something going on in my life.

I will be blogging about this program once a week. This week is week one and you will find my post about week one next Thursday.

I’ve met an amazing group of faith filled women and am excited to share this journey with them and you.

Now I am either going to join Rommie in a taking a nap, or go put “Elvis That’s The Way It Is” in my dvd player and work on some upper body exercises since a lower body workout would be too strenuous this week.              😉

  1. A nap sounds lovely… sometimes rest is the best option! (I’m writing that as I’m staring outside my office window at a gloomy, overcast day wishing I was at home under the covers!)
Excited to be on this journey with you!

    1. Hi Lauren, I am excited to be on this journey with you as well. Rest has been my strategy this week. Will be moving more next week, plus a challenge for next week was thrown my way this morning. More on that later.

  2. Your site here is beautiful, and it is a pleasure to be in the group with you. After doing the 31 Day Challenge, it seems strange to not have anything fresh up but once a week, but anticipation is also fun. I will look forward to hearing your progress for the week!

    1. Glad you like the site. I do my best to make it joyful looking. I intended to post more after the 31 Day Challenge but it has not panned out so far. Week 2 has already taken on an interesting twist and it is not even here yet.
