This is the Christ-centered, Biblically-based grief support program I attended and it became my anchor for my week. I looked forward to attending our meetings more than Sunday church service. I can not recommend this 13-week video series enough. Everyone there will understand you because everyone is grieving and has made the choice to move forward through grief. Each week is a different video and most churches will let you start anytime.
Paid membership site – J.T. O’Donnell – The list of 8 questions to ask at the end of an interview is fabulous. I wish I had this list at the beginning of my career.
Ferree Hardy – Also became a widow at a young age. She writes about her journey in Post Cards From the Widow’s Path. (available on her website). One of the best books about the journey from becoming a widow and moving forward with life to remarriage.
Christine Drews – Thoughtful, well-written devotions that will help you go deeper into God’s word.
Encouragement written by various contributors from all walks of life.
~ Finding Hope in all the Pages of Our Stories – Tasha Jun – Beautiful article about grief and joy.
Paid membership site for widows and others who want to take charge of their health. Each round lasts 7 weeks with participants setting a fitness goal to be done during week 7.
Nicholas De Lacy Brown – Amazing paintings, sketches, and photographs of Nicholas’ work based on his life and travels and those cute blobby one-armed norms.
Darren Rowse, the Godfather of Blogging. There are numerous resources, including a Podcast, to help you launch and maintain your blog. Problogger is the only blogging resource you need.
Darren Rowse – Articles are written by various contributors. The depth of knowledge and amount of articles make this the only photography resource you need.
An excellent album that chronicles grief from the moment it strikes through our victory in Christ. The album was done by Steve Siler of Music for the Soul, “A Christian ministry using the power of songs and stories as a bridge to hope and healing for those facing life’s most difficult issues.”
The Journey of Self-Discovery Begins- This post contains 2 videos, one about determining the type of Christian you are and the other about storms. Watching them will change your perspective.
Lynn Abbott (website)– I love Lynn’s words but this post about God being the ultimate Dumpster Diver had me grinning from ear to ear. Thank goodness He is a dumpster diver or we would be in the trash pile forever. Oh, and Lynn’s artwork is stunning in every post.
My friend Nalin Yosek just started a blog mostly about food but also about a few other topics along the way. Join her as she starts her blogging journey.
A blog written by my longtime friend Gabriana Marks. She just recently surpassed 900 days of finding One Good Thing in every day. That is tough to do when you are a full-time caregiver with your own health issues.
A beautiful online magazine providing “a welcoming place to restore, renew, and reinforce the individual.” Inspired by Philippians 4:7-9 this is the place to go when your soul needs restoration. The photography will take your breath away and the writing will encourage you. Here is the link to an interview with Roots and Skyauthor Christie Purifoy. After reading the article, browse the other areas of the magazine and sign up to receive monthly encouragement – I did.
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
