How To Become A Better Lover

Work like you don’t need the money.

Love like you’ve never been hurt.

Dance like nobody’s watching.

My friend Jennifer Chernisky posted this quote on Facebook back in December.  As soon as I read the quote, I knew there was a blog post waiting to be written.

At first I thought the quote was good advice, but then I got to thinking about

“Love like you’ve never been hurt.”

And I realized that is not good advice – in my humble opinion.

“I’m So Hurt”

You learn from being hurt.

Your love improves from being hurt because

  • You know what not to do.
  • You know what to do differently.

So you can love better the next time.

As a result of your hurt, work like you do not need money and dance like no one is watching but…

Love like you have been hurt, hurt more than once.

Use being hurt to become a better lover.
