Someone liked my post Lenten Weekend Wisdom: Exposed. Based on what their profile photo looked like on my phone, it reminded me of one of my backyard winter pictures. Then I got the idea to use winter pictures as the backdrop to this weekend’s posts thinking it would help cool you down.
So enjoy the chill and remember – winter is coming.
We were blessed with a white Christmas yesterday. At least 6, 8 or maybe 12 inches came down. I have not heard the final totals.
This picture was taken during the last winter storm when it was warmer out.
It is in the teens with wind chill in the single digits. The thought of opening the sliding glass door and stepping out into the weather to take a current picture is not a good idea, especially since I’m fighting off a cold or sinus infection.
So here’s a little winter wisdom.
Winter should not be considered as only negation and destruction. It is a secret and inward working of powers, which in spring will burst into visible activity.

Another little bit of wisdom from me to all those who live in Northeast Ohio, have your pantry and freezer stocked. It’s going to be a long, snowy winter.
