Praying Circles Around Ohio

This was my prayer for Ohio on the 40th day of prayer challenge based on Mark Batterson’s book Draw The Circle, A 40 Day Prayer Challenge.

Lord, teach us to pray.

Luke 11:1

Dear Holy, Gracious and Loving Heavenly Father,

I thank you for being Holy, Gracious and Loving.

Lord, teach Governor Dewine, Lt. Governor Husted and Director of Health Dr. Acton how to pray with fervor, an intense passionate feeling. Instill a desire to pray morning, noon, and night. As well as before meetings and news conferences. Let them especially pray before making decisions that impact peoples lives and dreams.

Lord, teach all Ohioans to pray with the same intense passionate feeling before we make any decisions, do any activities, and attend any events throughout our day. Teach us to start and end our day with prayer as well.

May we adopt “Lord teach us to pray.” as our state motto and help Ohio become a state known for residents who pray any time and any place…

because

“as Ohio goes, so goes the nation.”

In your son Jesus’ precious name I pray,

Amen!

Amen, Amen, Amen,

Amen, Amen, and Amen!
