Weekend Wisdom

Memorial Day Wisdom “By The Dawn’s Early Light”

Dawn’s early light is breaking here in Northeast Ohio at the time this post is published.

Here is a little wisdom courtesy of Francis Scott Key, with the help of a trio of cowboys.

I almost did not post anything today as I could not find any poem, quote or scripture that spoke to me.

Then I remembered this video from Chad Prather with Steve Helms and Ben McPherson.

It is the best version I’ve heard in a long time, because of it’s simplicity. No fancy musical arrangement, no fancy vocals being belted out to bring down a mounted deer’s head off a wall. Just good old fashioned A capella singing.

Never forget our flag still waives because of the men and women who died to protect our way of life. Today we remember and honor them and humbly say:

“Thank you for paying the ultimate price. You are not forgotten. “
