Spiritual Prepping

{Day 32} Spiritual Prepping – Epilogue

It is not often I pat myself on the back, but I am doing it today. I made it through posting every day for 31 days. Whew! And to think I posted every day when this blog started over 10 years ago. I do not know how I did it and I did it for several years.

Writing for 31 days has gotten me back into writing whether online, in a notebook, or journal. One of the books I will be using for my writing is The Five-Minute Writing Prompt Journal, 52 Prompts to Cultivate Confidence, Consistency, and Creativity by Kate Motaung.

One word a week for a year and then the other days, just write whatever is on my mind in a notebook. FYI – I asked for notebooks for Christmas. This ought to be interesting since my family loves to pull pranks on each other.

November

The goal for November and beyond is to post more frequently than in past months but not daily. The other goal for November is to spend time reading the series other bloggers wrote.

Encore

Here’s one more verse to put in your prepping arsenal as you start walking down November’s path. Put your hope in Him for His love will never fail you. Just remember He operates in a different space-time continuum.

Hopefully, you enjoyed this series on Spiritual Prepping and God spoke to you in a few verses. Memorize them, write them down and meditate on them. Because in order to survive any fecal matter that hits the oscillating unit event, you do need to prepare spiritually first for that is the key to thriving in life – standing on the rock of Jesus.

Thank you

Thank you to all my readers whether you’ve been here a while or are new. I thank God for you and appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read, like, and comment on my posts.

But mostly I want to give all the glory to God for the idea for Spiritual Prepping, for spreading the posts far and wide, and for walking through the writing process with me.

Spiritual Prepping

{Day 31} Spiritual Prepping – Psalm Sunday – Halloween

On a whim, I googled “psalms for Halloween” and did not expect to find anything but this verse came up.

The wicked will have many woes because their darkness will never extinguish the light of God’s love.

Evil may appear to be winning but it only appears that way. Just as it only appears that the dark clouds will put out the moon’s light. Put your trust in God. Feel His love surround and protect you from the wicked.

May our Holy, Gracious, and Loving Heavenly Father keep you and your family safe on this Halloween from spiritual warfare. May you spread God’s love to the trick or treaters who visit you.

Coming tomorrow: Epilogue to 31 Days of Spiritual Prepping.

{Day 30} Spiritual Prepping – Thanks

Welcome to Day 30!

Today’s verse pertains to giving thanks no matter what fog rolls in and covers your life.

The main word in the verse is “IN” it does not say to give thanks “FOR” all circumstances but in all circumstances. Even when the fog of grief, unemployment, or economic collapse settles in you are to give thanks while going walking through the fog. Thanks for the pan of lasagna someone brings you, thanks for the comfort people give you, and thanks for God’s presence as He guides you through foggy times.
