Happy Valentines Day!
Mom tried to write a post for today but did not like it. So when she went to bed, I hacked the computer again. (If you are a new reader, this is not the first time I’ve hacked Mom’s computer and it will not be the last either.) Today seemed like a good day to share our “snowfari” adventure.
A week ago, Mom found Grandpa Q’s yardstick and decided to go measure the snow in my backyard. (She thinks it’s her backyard.)
Your eyes do not deceive you, that is 14 inches. Do you know what it is like to turn around 3 times in order to do your business in 14 inches of snow? Mom helped me by flattening out a spot. (I am grateful we only got 14 inches as I understand my doggie buddies on the East Coast got a lot more.)
This is a picture of the path I wore down in the snow. I stick only to this path and do not venture off into the deep snow unless I see squirrels and kitties roaming the woods.
Here I am standing at the end of the path watching for any squirrels or kitties.
Speaking of flattening out the snow. Mom took a picture of her boot print and then…
fell backward landing on her butt, thus flattening out another spot. 😉
She rolled over on her knees and got up on her feet while making sure she did not drop the camera. Since she had no plans to stay out in the snow after measuring it, she wore only jeans; with no insulation underneath them she was quite Frozen .
All was not lost, as she managed to get this pretty picture of the woods before going back inside and wrapping up in blankets. We took a nap for about 1 1/2 hours until Mom warmed up.
That’s all for now. Mom and I wish everyone a joy-filled, tail-wagging good Valentine’s Day.
Love, Hugs, and Sloppy Wet Kisses,
Rommie and her Mommy.
