Weekend Wisdom: Biblical Strength

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Psalm 28:7

The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.

Psalm 29:11

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11

40 Days of Joy

Strength & Peace

Scripture:

The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.

Psalm 29:11

This passage seemed appropriate considering I was at the funeral home tonight (for a neighbor, not a relative).

The Lord gives us strength and peace when trouble enters our world – we just need to lift our eyes towards heaven.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:1-2

He has enough strength and peace for everyone.

My Wish

May you find joy in knowing God has strength and peace to see you through your troubles any time of the year – including Christmas.

Quote:

 May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope;

The spirit of Christmas which is peace;

The heart of Christmas which is love.
