Rommie stopped by last night to deliver a message to those of us who are struggling with various adversities. Rommie embraced life every day. She lived out Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
She rejoiced and was glad every day, despite having hip issues. Every day was a beautiful day to play ball, chase squirrels off her fence and bite skunks on the rear end.
So wherever you are and what ever skunk (grief, divorce, unemployment) is spraying you remember

May your day be filled with lots of love, hugs and sloppy wet kisses.
This is the day the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24 (NIV)
It is dark.
It is cool outside but yet warm enough to open the window.
It is quiet except for the crickets beautiful singing.
Now a gentle rain begins, making a slight ping, ping, as it lands on the aluminum awning covering the deck.
Rommie is asleep in the master bedroom in her little “den” between the bed and the wall.
My “office” is lit only by a Mason jar my former boss converted into a lamp.
It is just me typing away on the computer enjoying the serenity this night has brought.
My own little piece of heaven here on earth.
I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Thank you God for bringing me a little piece of heaven here on earth and for my ability to recognize the beauty and your presence in this time and place.
Where will you find heaven today?
