It is 9:01 a.m. as I write this post. I have been up 36 minutes.
There was no alarm clock singing its shrill song this morning, for I am not working today. (Cue Mr. Handel – Hal-le-lu-jah!, Hal-le-lu-jah!)
I woke up at 6 and promptly rolled over and fell back into a deep, restful sleep. Every now and then I would here Rommie come into my bedroom attempting to get me out of bed, but I felt called to asleep. I could not have gotten up even if I wanted. It is as if the hand of God was holding me down, telling me to sleep.
I felt very relaxed, warm and cozy. The warmth was probably from the sun streaming through the eastern window. God knew I needed the sleep as my monkey brain was in overdrive this week chattering about the household chores, errands, and job search activities that need done. God used this restorative sleep to shut the monkey up.
Plus God knows this next week is a 48 hour work week and I need to store up the energy for it.
Thanks for the deep, relaxing sleep God. I felt very loved by and connected to you.
Now this very rested and restored blogger is off to eat her Scottish Oatmeal with 2 tablespoons ground flax-seed meal with a pinch of organic honey swirled in. Then it is off to the dry cleaners as the interview suit needs cleaned.
May you experience joy in a deep, relaxing sleep in God’s arms today.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
Thank You For Scattering Joy
