This picture was taken this week as the sun rose up over the house. Once I saw this week’s verse I knew I had to use this picture.
The Lord IS light, strength, and salvation. May you and I remember this as we go through this week and may we see an example of all three in our lives.

Time for some Weekend Wisdom.
Here are a couple verses from Isaiah 58 that resonated with me as I was reading a devotion from Ann Voskamp’s one thousand gifts devotional.
Feed the hungry,
and help those in trouble.
Then your light will shine out from the darkness,
and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.
The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like an ever-flowing spring.
Isaiah 58:10 – 11 (NLT)
Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you in the next week or two with a post about what I see as my perfect day.
Also check out the Northeast Ohio Authors page that went live today. It is a listing of books I’ve read and recommend written by some wonderful and amazing local authors.
Here are a few of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s quotes. May at least one of them resonate with you.
Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others? ”
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
The time is always right to do what is right.
Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.
I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.
