I have a passion for cherries so when I found this recipe on page 87 of Gooseberry Patch’s “Quick & Easy Christmas”, I knew I had to make it.
“Around the holidays, my Grandpa Don always asked my mom to make this salad. It almost tastes like cherry ice cream…yummy!” LaShelle Brown, KS
Ingredients
21-oz can cherry pie filling
14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
8-oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed.
Directions
In a medium serving bowl, mix together pie filling, and condensed milk. Fold in whipped topping. Cover and freeze. Serves 10-12
Michele’s Notes
This does taste like cherry ice cream. The picture was taken after the salad had been in the freezer for 6 hours.
