Lenten Weekend Wisdom: A Very Good Thing

Happy Easter!

Wish I had a picture of an empty tomb but I do not, just a picture of daffodils pushing through the cold hard ground – which is also a very good thing.

The journey of Jesus to the cross didn’t end with the cross but with the victory of the empty tomb, and that’s a very good thing.

Paul David Tripp – Journey To The Cross; A 40-Day Lenten Devotional

Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter.

Lenten Weekend Wisdom: Story

Our story has a happy ending, eternal life with Jesus, because He took our sin to the cross. He was born to die for us.

East Branch of the Black River (March 27, 2021)

My journey through Lent almost ended with me going for a swim in the Black River as I tripped and fell going down this path. I did not walk or roll to the end of the path. This is why Arnica gel and Therma Care Heating Wraps are in my closet. Good thing I am on vacation today and tomorrow.

Lenten Weekend Wisdom: Exposed

Here is another quote for you to ponder as we get ready for Holy Week. Although, isn’t every week Holy Week?

On the journey to the cross, not only is the heart of Jesus exposed, but so are our hearts too.

Paul David Tripp – Journey To The Cross; A 40-Day Lenten Devotional (Day 32)

After reading this, I picture Jesus walking towards the cross all cut up and exposed from His flogging.

Jesus exposed His heart filled with love, compassion, humility and obedience to His Father to save our hearts exposed by our sin. He did this so all those who believe in Him will have eternal life with Him.
