Weekend Wisdom: I Love You

Act on this advice today, for you never know when you will be a widow or widower.

The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.

So thank God for your spouse today and make sure you hold spouse close and say

“I love you.”

And yes, there is a reason for publishing this quote today.

How Life Changes

My friend’s husband had a stroke today.

As of this writing, I do not know any more details other than the hospital to where he was transferred.

Unemployment brought my friend and I together.  We both attended a job seekers meeting to hear a man named Jeff Nischwitz speak.  We discovered we lived in neighboring cities.  We would meet for coffee or lunch and quickly became friends.

I even had the pleasure of meeting her husband at a networking event.  He is a nice guy, but then my friend would not have married him if he was not a nice guy.

I know no matter the outcome, God is with my friend, her husband and their family.  God has his arms around them.  God is love.  Because He is love, good will come from this terrible situation.  What good will come from it and when that good will happen, I do not know.   I just know that it will, and that knowledge brings me joy.

Lesson To Be Reinforced

You already know this but sometimes it needs reinforced.

If you are going on your first date, involved in a steady dating relationship, engaged, or married, give your spouse a big hug and kiss. (best to just give your first date a hug.)  Not only might they be here today and seriously ill or gone tomorrow, they might be here this morning and seriously ill or gone this morning.

Be grateful for them and they way they have touched your life.  You are a better person because of them and they are better because of you.

And while you are at it, say “I Love You.”  It can never be said enough.
