Welcome to the next to the last week of 52 Bible Verses for a Joy-Filled Year. This weeks verse pertains to forgiveness, something a lot of us grapple with doing.
Forgiveness is not about the other person, forgiveness is about you. It is about removing ill will from your heart so there is room for God’s blessings. You can not receive His blessings with hatred, evil, and anger clogging up the arteries of your heart.
So forgiveothers…then go live a blessed life.
And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

My home is in Heaven. I’m just traveling through this world.
New, Grander Home
It is funny (strange) how life works out. Joe and I started house hunting in March of 1999 and did not sign the contract on our house until the first weekend in July.
Every Saturday we went out with our realtor and every Sunday Joe and I went to open houses. There were plenty of houses I saw that would have made a nice home but Joe felt we would be settling if we bought any of them.
When we moved into this house, he asked if someday I would like to move to a bigger, newer, nicer house. I told him no. If he wanted a bigger, grander new house then he was moving in with another Mrs. Kearns, because this one was staying put right here.
Well, on March 29th, 2008 he moved into a grand and glorious new house in heaven with his Mom, Grandmother Kearns, Great-Grandmother Kearns etc…
and here I sit, staying put in my 1100 sq ft ranch like I said I was going to do.
The wonderful thing about this time of year is Rommie (golden retriever) gets cold at night. When she does she jumps into bed with me, well she use to jump into bed. Because of her hip dysplasia, she puts her 2 front paws up on the bed and I lift her rear end up. Unfortunately, my master bedroom is too small for a ramp or steps for the bed.
It reminded me of times when Joe, Rommie and I would take a Saturday or Sunday afternoon siesta. The 3 of us laying on our bed drifting off to sleep. It was during those few moments before sleep overtook me that I would lay there thanking God for the special moment and thinking now THIS is heaven on earth!
There was such a deep, joyful peace in my heart as the sandman knocked me out.
It was those warm, sweet memories that came flooding back last night as Rommie snuggled with me – for about 20 minutes then decided she was too warm. The hardwood floor was more comfortable.
Oh well, the weather is only going to get colder and that means there will be nights when she will sleep with me all night.

Joe and I discussed death. For various reasons I will not get into, we always thought he would go first. It took Joe’s sudden death for me to see the subject of who dies first from a completely different perspective.
Married People Usually Say
They want to die before their spouse. The thought of one person ceasing to exist here is too much for the other person to bear.
Do you love seeing your spouse in pain?
Then why would you want to go to heaven first and leave him/her behind in pain and agony? I can guarantee that since they love you, they will be in excruciating mental and physical pain.
Love your spouse enough to let them go to heaven first and you stay behind to deal with the mental and physical pain.
It Cuts Both Ways
Your spouse should love you enough to let you go to heaven first and they will stay behind and deal with the mental and physical pain.
Do you love your spouse enough to let them go to heaven first?
Heaven is paradise. It is beautiful and life is peaceful there.
Why wish for them to stay here in a fallen world while you move to paradise first?
