52 Bible Verses for a Joy Filled Year – Week 51

Welcome to the next to the last week of 52 Bible Verses for a Joy-Filled Year. This weeks verse pertains to forgiveness, something a lot of us grapple with doing.

Forgiveness is not about the other person, forgiveness is about you. It is about removing ill will from your heart so there is room for God’s blessings. You can not receive His blessings with hatred, evil, and anger clogging up the arteries of your heart.

So forgiveothers…then go live a blessed life.

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mark 11:25

Weekend Wisdom

How I View Father’s Day

(Author’s Note: No post on Sunday as I am leaving this one up through out the weekend.  Happy Father’s Day to all you father’s out there.)

Dad #1 and Dad #2 have passed away.

Most of you will think – “Awww, she’s fatherless on Father’s Day.”

But I do not see it that way.

I still have 2 earthly father’s, however heaven is there home now.  Someday I will see them again along with Mom #2, Joe and a lot of other relatives who moved to heaven.

They may not be physically here, but they live in my heart so they are here – and always will be.

“Celebrate Good Times, C’mon!”

I will be celebrating the lives of both my fathers and Joe, for he was a wonderful father to Rommie (our golden retriever child).

But mostly I will be celebrating  God, for I am a child of God and that makes him my Dad.

Thank you for blessing me with an awesome family, that includes the biological relatives and those related through marriage.  There is not another family I would want to be born into or have married into.

Your Daughter Michele

P.S.  Tell Joe and my earthly father’s, grandfather’s, and great-grandfather’s  Happy Father’s Day.  I look forward to seeing them again – just not anytime soon.                 😉

1 Self-Improvement Tip

I have read articles and heard people say a great self-improvement tip is to surround yourself with people better than you. They will lift you up and help you learn, excel and grow into a better, more accomplished individual.

To that I say hogwash!

Because there is no fellow human who is better than me.

Not Better, Just Different

There are people in my life who have fancier titles than me, but that does not make them better –  just different.

There are people in my life whom have a graduate degree, but that does not make them better –  just different.

There are people in my life whom have started a business, but this also does not make them better – just different.

My education, accomplishments and overall life experiences differ from everyone else’s, but that does not make me better than them – just different.

~~ Hopefully we can learn from each other, providing you are open to learning new things. ~ ~

Go Ahead, Make Your Day!

So go ahead and improve yourself, surround yourself with people who are different than you and learn from them.  In doing so you will set yourself as different from other people, because not many people are willing to improve themselves.

Who will you surround yourself with?  What will you learn from their experiences? How will you apply what you learn to your life?

The Only Ones Better Than Me

By the way, there are people who are better than me and you and they are –

The Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
