(A little nonsensical post for a Monday as you get back in the groove.)
In the header picture is a bullfrog candle I found while looking for Christmas decorations and decided he had to play a role in “40 Days of Joy.”
Now the prophet Jeremiah was known as the “Weeping Prophet.” Well when Three Dog Night released the album “Naturally” (1971) they really gave Jeremiah something to weep about with “Joy To The World”
According to Wikipedia the original lyrics were “Jeremiah was a prophet” but no one liked it. Somehow it became “Jeremiah was a bullfrog.” I can just imaging God having a hearty laugh, and Jeremiah telling God:
“Give me a break. You put me through a lot when I was on earth and now THIS?!”
Who says God does not have a sense of humor?
Here’s the link to 2:32 of Joy. May it bring you joy today. If the song does not, then the clothing people are wearing in the video certainly will 😉

For those of you who prefer the Christmas carol, here is a link to a wonderful performance by Faith Hill. May it bring you joy as well.
Enjoy!
Scripture:
“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
