Weekend Wisdom: Elizabeth Barrett Browning

For those of you new here, and there are a lot of new readers, Weekend Wisdom are usually short posts consisting of inspirational quotes, scripture, or poems to lift your spirits and/or give you something to ponder. This was a way for me to publish 7 days a week without having to come up with 7 original posts back when JoyReturns began.

I hope your Christmas was merry and filled with lots of love and laughter from being together with family and friends.

Here is a nugget of wisdom from Elizabeth Barrett Browning.

Bio: Michele Kearns is the founder and HUG© (Hope Unites Globally) Award-Winner of JoyReturns. She shares her widowhood adventures hoping to inspire widows to move through grief and rebuild their lives. A graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor’s degree in communications, she’s currently using those skills as a virtual logistics contact center representative for a Fortune 100 company. She’s also managed call center teams, co-facilitated a grief support group, and helped small businesses with various writing assignments. Michele is a bookworm, and a lover of history, music, chocolate, red roses, and golden retrievers. She is also the amateur photographer behind the blog OgleOhio.com.

Blessings Found

Author’s note: I know many of you are groggy, sluggish, and/or just plain out of wack with the universe after the long holiday weekend.  Here is a little something that will hopefully help get your brain functioning.

“All of our hopes and our dreams for a better tomorrow can be found in the blessings God provides us today.”

—Charlie DeLeo, former maintenance mechanic for the Statue of Liberty

Your Wildest Dreams

Another uplifting thought…

Ephesians 3:20 (The Message)

20-21God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

Glory to God in the church!
Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!
Glory down all the generations!
Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!
