JoyReturns 1st Annual Virtual Conference

How to chase the mid-winter blues bye-bye?

Attend a conference, your own conference. I wish I could say this was my idea but I stole it from Chris Brogan.   

Here are a compilation of my favorite Ted and Tedx Talks.

None pertain to joy but if you act upon the ideas in these talks you will find or create joy in your life or the lives of others. Every speech pertains to you no matter what age or what nasty life event you have or are experiencing.

There is a break after every session so you can review notes or rewind to rewatch part of a speech. So grab a pen and notebook and start the conference when your schedule permits.

One day we will all gather in a warm location, wearing bikini’s and speedo’s and sipping tropical drinks with umbrellas in them and listen to speakers live and not via Memorex (Does that even still exist?).

Movin’ and Groovin’ Monday: Nights on Broadway

I am movin’ and goovin’ and little slower today.  Normally these posts are done a day or two in advance, but life has been anything but normal the past week. You will read all about it starting tomorrow through Thursday.

But in the meantime here is one of my all time favorite BeeGee songs.

Enjoy and then seize every day this week.  Don’t let grief or unemployment stand in your way.

Movin’ and Groovin’ Mondays: “You Should Be Dancing”

Well it’s Monday again and time to shake off the “weekend flu” by putting on your dancing shoes.

I noticed while perusing YouTube  this song was used by the BeeGees as the closing number for their concerts. What a great idea to leave with their audience – “You Should Be Dancing.”

So it is only fitting I use it, as today brings closure to a certain area of my life. Now don’t get excited, it is not the “romance” part of my life that has changed. I am still a dateless widow, a dancing dateless widow.

Be sure to warm up properly as I do not want you to throw-out your back or hips while you gyrate to this pulsating, hard-driving beat.
