Just Be There Is…

The number 1 way to help widows.

What If We Chose To Be For One Another by Kaitlyn Bouchillon – Post written by a single woman, in her twenties, that speaks for single women of any age.

At the end of the day — whether happily single, desiring marriage, dating, widowed, divorced, married, or engaged — it’s true of every single one of us: We all just want to be seen, known, wanted and loved.

Kaitlyn Bouchillon – It Just Takes One

I’ve been reading her posts for years and was on a book launch team she managed.

Who of us in the worst pit that we’ve ever been in needs anything as much as we need company. Just somebody, perhaps, who will sit there in silence but just be with us.

  1. I’m retired and live in an area mostly occupied by seniors. Many of my friends have lost their spouses. My ex died five years ago 7 weeks following his diagnosis. It hit me hard for lots of reasons. I’ve witnessed second hand what widows suffer. Every day I’m thankful to still have my husband. But I know it most likely will happen some day (if statistics hold true) and I will need someone like you to help me through it. Thank you for being available to grieving widows/(ers) mothers, fathers, children, grandparents and every other possible relationship thereof. You’re a life saver for the survivors.

  2. Hi!

I’m a SITS sister dropping by to say Hello!. I got interested in your blog as I am raised by a widow. Yes , my father died when I was barely 2 years old and my mother was seven months on the way with my sister. I actually cant connect with the grief but I surely witness the journey we went through with my Mom. I am proud to be where I am today and I am proud more for my Mom to be able to survive and give us what my sister and I have today! I will be following you from now on. i admire women like you! 🙂

    1. Thanks for dropping by and for the kind words. I am sorry your Mom had to experience widowhood, it is not a journey I wish on anyone. I am proud of her for suriving and raising you and your sister. I read your blog and it is wonderful. You my dear are to be admired. Being a stay at home Mom is the toughest job and I commend you for doing it. May God give you the same strength and wisdom he
gave your Mom as you raise your kids.
