A Joyful Surprise

While checking my stats on Saturday, I noticed a new country – Grenada. I checked my prior list of places JoyReturns has not reached and it was not on it. Apparently there are places on WordPress’ world map that are so small they do not show up.

With the addition of Grenada, my list of countries reached grew to 162. Then I decided to double check and wrote down a list of every country where WordPress said my blog was read. SURPRISE! There are more countries that are so small they do not appear on the world country map for 165 is the total of countries JoyReturns has reached. That is because readers from 4 new countries visited this blog.

They are:

I want to welcome all new countries and readers new and not so new from existing countries to my little corner of the internet.

But mostly I want to thank and praise God for spreading this blog around the world. It was His whisper in my right year just as I was waking up one morning saying “widows website” that got me into researching and taking a class on blogging. I did not want to do it but God kept nagging me. Now here we are less than 1 month from the 10th anniversary of JoyReturns and God is still proving His faithfulness because I was obedient and listened to His whisper.

May this blog be a blessing to all readers whatever your country of residence.

The Lord bless you and keep you;

the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;

the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Numbers 6:24-26

Historical Weekend Wisdom: Liberty Bell Inscription

Happy Independence Day!

There is more inscribed on the Liberty Bell, than this verse. The link will take you to the Liberty Bell site so you can learn more about the bell’s history.

Below is the full verse of Leviticus 25:10

10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his clan.

Leviticus 25:10

Remember because of what our founding fathers did in establishing this country you are able to pursue happiness and live the life your current life. If you do not like your current life, you have the freedom to make the changes necessary so you are living the want.

You do not find such freedom in other countries.

Give thanks for this country and your life.

Pray that We The People of the United States are able to preserve our American way of life.

God Bless You and God Bless The USA!

The Wind Blown Look

This is me yesterday after arriving back home from a birthday party. Sunroof open, driver’s and passenger side windows down for the hour and 20 minutes drive. Temperature in the 80’s with lots of sun. Life felt normal. The drive did my mental self good as did being around Joe’s family.

Here’s hoping you have a day where all the windows can be rolled down and you get the windblown look.
