Even Jesus stormed the bastille. Every demon He drove out, every illness He cured, every lame person He restored, and every sin He forgave was a bastille (prison) where a person was being jailed.
Jesus set them free from their prison.
However, the ultimate storming took place when He hung on the cross, shedding His blood for you and me. Then the pièce de résis·tance occurred three days later when He rose again from the dead.
Jesus set us free from our prison – sin.
While death will win battles, it will not win the war. Jesus resurrection proves that death is the biggest loser.
