HAPPY BASTILLE DAY!

(Author’s note: This post is in honor of my French teacher. I am sorry dear teacher that the only French I remember comes from Lady Marmalade.)

The Bastille was a medieval prison in France. It was stormed by the French people early in the revolution. (You can find out more here.)

“Storm the Bastille!” was my 2011 motto for the year.

So grab a French baguette, wine, and brie cheese then go find a perfect picnic spot. But only AFTER you have stormed the bastille in your life (job, grief, family feud etc..)
