Bad Feeling?

There are several people experiencing a bad feeling lately. They feel as though the other shoe is going to drop on or around the 4th of July.

Could the “snow” hit the fan on July 4th? Yes. There are a lot of foreign and domestic enemies that want to see us obliterated. Our demise happening on the 4th of July would be something sweet for them to savor.

However, our demise as a country could happen any time, any day. With inflation, gas and food prices skyrocketing, something will happen. The questions is when and what.

There is peace and joy in my heart. A heart that is grateful for our Declaration of Independence, the founding fathers, and for God having me born “for such a time as this.”

Remember, whatever happens God will walk through it with us. He sometimes prevents bad events and sometimes He accompanies us on a journey through the valley of the shadow of death. For it is in the deepest part of the valley where growth happens.

Just ask any widow whose walked through a grief journey.

My Prayer

As you celebrate our independence this weekend, you do so with a heart full of gratitude to God – gratitude for our country, for being a US citizen, and for our independence. Also, that you release any tension or fear to God.

May your gratitude bring you peace and joy now and forevermore.

Oh, and Happy 123rd Birthday Grandpa! Love and miss you.
