Weekend Wisdom: Ancient Paths

Today’s wisdom is from Jeremiah 6, a chapter titled “Impending Disaster for Jerusalem.” The chapter contains wise words for We The People and any country facing impending disaster.

Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Jeremiah 6:16 (ESV)

Walking ancient paths is the best way to avoid a lot of disasters. You will not prevent all of them, because we know Jesus said we will have trials and sorrows. But if you walk the ancient path there will be rest for your soul.

May you always walk the ancient path and may you experience joy for most of your journey.

A special thank you to Patriot Nurse for mentioning a verse about the ancient paths. Her words provided much-needed inspiration as I have been driving some ancient paths and had no idea what to post today.
