Today’s verse is short and does not require a lot of explanation.
Chapter 3 is about the descendants of David. According to the study notes in my ESV Bible, verses 1-16 are the line of kings before Babylon invaded. So while this might seem like another boring line of geneology of no real importance, it is not as Zedekiah is the last king. Remeber that in case you are ever on Jeopardy.
16 The descendants of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son;
