Project 3:16

Project 3:16 – Exodus

Frozen Bush 2013

Today we continue on our journey through the 3:16 verses in every book of the Bible that has 3 chapters.

Sometimes the 3:16’s will not make sense on their own but need help from surrounding verses. Today’s could stand on it’s own but I decided that including God’s promise in 3:17 would be helpful.

Today’s verse comes from Exodus. Chapter 3 is about Moses and the Burning Bush. (link for Biblegateway.com) These words were some of what God spoke to Moses.

16 “Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.

Exodus 3:16 (NIV)

But wait, look what else I AM said to Moses.

17 And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’

Exodus 3:17 (NIV)

God saw how the Israelites were suffering and promised them a better life in a land chosen for them.

He sees your suffering and will make an exodus for your as well.

Sorry but I have no pictures of burning bushes, only frozen bushes outside my house. Thank you God for no actual burning bushes at my house.
