Ending The Day With Luke

For my advent devotional this year, I wanted something different. Books by Spurgeon, Tripp, and DeMoss Wolgemuth were all considered. But yesterday this idea was on one of the websites I was reading (not sure which one). Every evening, read 1 chapter of Luke. There are 24 chapters in Luke, which means you end on Christmas Eve.

(NIV)

Every night after work, my routine will be to put my computer to sleep, turn out the kitchen light, curl up in the living room chair with a blanket and hot cup of chamomile tea, and read one chapter of Luke before bed. What a perfect way to decompress after being yelled at all day (retail sales). Trust me, there is no “peace on earth, goodwill towards men.”

Grab your blanket and a hot beverage and end your day with Luke as well.

May God’s word bring you comfort and joy this holiday season.
