With the holiday season just a few weeks away, it seemed appropriate to post a few verses for you to hold close to your heart. Start now with memorizing and meditating on them so you are better prepared when the season kicks into high gear.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Matthew 5:4
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
May God’s comfort bring you joy this holiday season.
