{Day 3} Spiritual Prepping: Psalm Sunday: Out of Your Control

Welcome to Psalm Sunday.

Truthfully this verse was not on my list of verses for this series, however it was not a verse I paid much attention to until after Joe’s passing. So while researching verses, it popped in to my head and I decided to include it. It is not a verse our happy, happy, joy, joy churches preach.

You need to understand now before you lose a husband that his passing is out of your control.

If you’ve already lost a husband, may this verse help erase any and all “if only I had said this.” or “If only I had done that.” and any other “If Only’s” haunting you.

Your eyes saw my unformed body;

    all the days ordained for me were written in your book

    before one of them came to be.

Psalm 139:16

This verse brought comfort to those of us going through GriefShare whether is was a few weeks, months or years since the passing of a loved one.

What is not out of our control is the living a quality life for the time God has ordained for us. Focus on how you live your life and not the length of it.
