31 Days of Spiritual Prepping Verses: {Day 1} Beginning

The best place to start any project is the beginning.

So today’s spiritual prepping verse is:

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

In order to prepare for any of life’s storms – widowhood, unemployment, snowstorms etc.. you need to understand not only who created everything but who is large and in charge. So let’s break down the verse.

In the beginning, God

I recently read that those are the four most important words in the Bible. They explain who life is all about and newsflash – it’s not about you. It’s about God because He is the Alpha and the Omega.

created the heavens and earth.

This is what He did. No one else did the creating of the earth, planets, stars, black holes, fish, algae, amoeba, grass, flowers and dirt. I could go on and on and on listing what He created. The amazing thing is all He created works together in perfect harmony.

The leaves change color right on schedule,

flowers burst forth from frozen ground,

and the tides roll in and out,

Just remember who is in charge and thank Him for being in charge of everything. Would you really want a man to have created and be the over searer of all life? It gives me great joy to know that none of us flawed humans are in charge of the world.
