Happy Fall, Y’all!

Welcome to fall, everyone.

It’s that lovely time of year when the trees change color, backyard firepit’s are all aflame, and heavy rain and 45 mile per hour winds whip through the area. Yes, that’s right. The first day of fall and severe weather moves in with some spots getting up to 4 inches of rain.

It was raining when I took this picture from my deck. The black walnut tree is still loaded with nuts, and leaves are changing to yellow and a deep burgundy red.

And with this weather comes cooler temperatures, at least for a few days. then it will be back in the 70’s next week.

This year I am ready for fall, ready for a change in seasons. Not sure why. Maybe it’s because I associate it with a slow down in life and a slow down would be nice. It’s been a crazy year and definitely not a 2021 that I envisioned.

So happy fall, Y’all.

Let’s praise God for this change of season. He is our strength and shield for this and all seasons, now and forever more!

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Psalm 28:7 (NIV)
