Lenten Weekend Wisdom: Emotional Life

How is your emotional life?

Are you filled with joy or our you focusing on your grief? Are you grateful for what you have or are you striving for more, more, more?

Your emotional life is a window into what is truly important to you and what you are really living for.

Paul David Tripp – Journey To The Cross; A 40-Day Lenten Devotional (Day 12)

My being frustrated with various aspects of life probably shows a lack of faith and trust that God has my day, my week, my town, my county, my state and our country in His hands. Yes, I know it and I speak it but do I really believe it? Maybe I do not.

Am I willing to humble myself before God during Lent and ask him to make me get frustrated less? The best way to do that is for Him to put me in situations that would frustrate me. Oy!

What about you? Do you really have faith and trust that God’s got your day, your week, your state, or our country in His hands? Or are you also ruled by frustration or some other unhealthy emotion?
