Valentine’s Day Comfort and Joy

For those widows who are alone and grieving today, here is just one of many love letters from God found in the Bible. (My pastor is preaching on this verse today.)

For the mountains may depart

    and the hills be removed,

but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,

and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”

says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10

Also, I received an email this week from Ferree Hardy at Widow’s Christian Place with a list of several ideas for Valentine’s Day. One of them was to look the word “love” up in your Bible’s concordance (if your Bible has one). Check out how many times “love” is mentioned in the Psalms.

May you find at least one verse the brings you comfort and joy whether it is the first Valentine’s Day without your spouse or years have passed since you celebrated with him. But remember, God was, is, and always will be your Valentine.

Have a lovely day.
