Weekend Wisdom: Advent Week 3 – JOY

You would think that I would have no problem writing about joy. You are wrong. I had no idea what to do or say about joy. The disunity in our country causes some people to not have joy and in others, it ebbs and flows like the tide.

Joy is found in being connected to God through scripture, nature or any other way that helps you feel connected to Him.

When you are filled with you, you radiate it like the light from a candle. A light that can not be snuffed out by current circumstances, whether it is the darkness of unemployment, illness, death, or political disunity the joy you have will snuff out the darkness.

You are the JOY candle. This week encourage others by tipping your candle and spreading your light to someone else. Use your joy to drive out the darkness others are experiencing and their hearts and minds will be refreshed.

“Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.”
