Weekend Wisdom: Thanksgiving Verse and Quote

I uttered these words while searching for a photo of a gate in my picture gallery.

“God, show me where I can take a photo of a gate.”

The next row down was a picture of my gate. Duh! I had totally for gotten about the gate in my fence.

Upon entering this gate, you will encounter, birds, fish, frogs, mice, rabbits, ponds, the remains of a long abandoned fort, and rumor has it a few coyotes – but no roadrunners.

Thanks be to God for the reminder of what is right in my own backyard.

Thanksgiving Quote

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.

President John F. Kennedy, Thanksgiving Day Proclamation, 1963 (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963)
