
I find it amazing how quotes from well over 100 years ago are relevant today.
We have some gaping wounds that need bound up with staples, stitches or Band-Aids. I unfortunately see a lot of malice but little charity and little binding up of our wounds. Instead as if we are taking a sledge hammer or wrecking ball to our country.
Praying we can start to bind up the nation’s wounds soon, very soon.
With Malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds.
