Ah…This gem reminds me of nights my friends and I spent at the local disco back in my college days.
On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.
~George Gordon, Lord Byron, Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage
Joy was definitely unconfined even when we stumbled on blistered feet across the parking at 2 a.m. to the local pancake house. We needed to refuel for the walk back to the dorms. I miss those plate-size pancakes smothered in blueberries and drowned in maple syrup then washed down with endless cups of coffee.
Now at 2 a.m. you might find me stumbling on bunion feet to the bathroom. 😀
Have a great weekend and may your joy be unconfined whether you are dancing or just walking around the block.
