One of the ways to keep your house warmer is to keep the drapes, curtains, and blinds closed. However, that keeps out the light. I work from home and open the drapes every morning so the light gets in, even during frigid Northeast Ohio winters.
Got to let even the gloomy, overcast winter light inside. Light is light and it drives out darkness, whether it is the darkness in a room or the darkness in your soul.
No matter how cold the weather is where you live or in your soul, always
Let the light in.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.1 Peter 2:9
