I am linking up with Kate Motaung and friends for Five Minute Friday. Yes, the blog post is written in 5 minutes, with a few extra minutes for tweaking.
Today’s prompt is
“Why?”
- Why is there pain and suffering in the world?
- Why are there school shootings?
- Why are parents kidnapped and murdered?
- Why? Why? Why?
The answer is:
because evil is in this world
Evil is real.
Evil lives in people’s hearts, therefore when someone is hell-bent on doing evil, he/she will see that scheme is accomplished. No amount of rules, regulations, and legislation will stop an evil person.
President Kennedy knew this and said that if someone wanted to kill him badly enough, that person would make sure it happened.
Evil has been alive and well in this world ever since Adam and Eve ate the apple.
Evil will continue to have free reign over people’s hearts – unless we turn back to God.
14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
The solution is simple, give this world back to God through prayer, worship, and giving thanks.

Great job!
Yes it goes back to Adam and Eve. Without God evil abides. Thank God for Jesus paying for our sins. But sin nature remains . Free will He will not take from us. Great thoughts you give. I am #41
Thank you for reading my blog, Mary.
So true, the only response in these kinds of situations is to turn to God and seek him. Visiting from FMF.
Thank you for stopping by from FMF, Lesley.
