Hello and it’s day 4 of my joy filled job search and time to work it, work it.
Job search must be worked daily. That does not mean I need to work it 8, 10, 0r 12 hours a day, but I must do something every day. This is the philosophy behind J.T. O’Donnell’s new site WorkItDaily.com.
J.T. combined her sites Careerealism and CareerHMO into one. There are a multitude of tools and articles along with the opportunity to work with a coach and/or pay for courses. However, the best thing about WorkItDaily is the Office Hours from 11:00 – 11:30 (Eastern) everyday. It is a chance to ask different coaches career questions and chat with other participants.
I love the friendships that develop from Office Hours. In fact, I still keep in touch with Gabriana, Rosalyn and others. I also met Debbie who lives 10 minutes north of me on Office Hours.
Working Other Components
There are so many other components to the job search, e.g. resume, cover letter, LinkedIn and networking, that can and should be worked daily. I will discuss other components of the job search at later dates after I decide which ones to explain.
Now I am off to tweak the resume – again as I am never satisfied with it.
In the meantime, if you are on LinkedIn and want to connect, just click on the LinkedIn button over on the right of this page. Please personalize your request to connect.
Thankful
Today I am thankful for J.T. O’Donnell, Gabriana, Rosalyn, Debbie, Pam, and others who I met on Office Hours. Thank you for being wonderful friends and for your support and encouragement.
“‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’Numbers 6:24-26
