Weekend Wisdom From The Psalms

Weekend Wisdom this summer (yes, I know it is not officially summer yet) will be verses from the Psalms that speak to me and that will hopefully speak to you as well. Plus, I can do several posts at once from the comfort of my local library.

Verses are from the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible.

May you find encouragement and joy in each verse.

Michele

Today’s Verse

Today’s wisdom is from verses 13 and 14 of Psalm 27.

This is something you need to keep in mind while traveling through your grief journey. The journey will end and through out your journey you will see the goodness of the Lord in people, places, things, and events.

I believe[f] that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living!
14 Wait for the Lord;
    be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord!

  1. What a great psalm, Michele, and perfect for someone who just found a forever home here. She’s a baby Bullmastiff, and her name is Strawberry Hill. She came to us a week ago, too footsore to walk, and too heartsick to smile…and now she’s happily sleeping at my feet.

    I wrote about her in my current blog post, if you are interested –

    • She is beautiful! God bless you for giving her a home and a lot of love. Working from a friend’s computer tonight. Sorry I’ve not been on but just not able to replace my dead computer.
