Last year God pressed the following verse on my heart.
Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.Isaiah 43:19
2016
Now that 2016 is here it is time to:
“Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.Isaiah 43:18
So without further adieu here are my 2016 verses:
Habakkuk Rejoices in the Lord
17 Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.19 God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer’s;
he makes me tread on my high places.Habakkuk 3:17-19
I’ve always loved this verse but when it was read at church service a few weeks ago, I thought to myself “You need to make that verse the one for 2016.”
May you rejoice in God throughout 2016, as He is your strength.
