Weekend Wisdom: Zephaniah

I do not remember where I first came across this verse from one of the Bible’s often overlooked books, but the last line spoke to me.

The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zephaniah 3:17

May you find comfort and joy in the verse or even just the last line.

      1. Kind of need prayers, Michele. One of my service dogs had bloat last night. She got through the night but is pretty rough this morning.

        We lost one of the guys to bloat last week. heartbreaking.

      2. They’re helping…she’s doing better. She got into another dog’s food last night – one that has a special diet that includes cat food. It was a nasty eighteen hours. This morning she was very cold, and her gums were almost white.

        But the past hour has perked her up, and she’s much happier.

        She is the girl whose picture is featured on my blog, on the thumbnail. She was found in Lubbock on a very hot July day, with a broken hip, carrying a dead puppy in her womb, weighing 30 lbs (her normal weight is 70). She’s very, very gentle, and a wonderful service dog. If I am too ill to be online she will close the laptop. Her name is Sylvia.
