Quick Tip: Skip The Holiday Proposal Plus A News Update

I know this is the time of year when lovers, girl friends,  or lady friends (whatever the appropriate term is now-a-days) dream of finding a rock under the tree on Christmas morning.

So if you know anyone considering popping the question this Christmas season, tell them

Don’t Do It

  • Until Spring when a young man’s fancy turns to thoughts of love.
  • Until the dead of winter when they are stuck inside due to a blizzard.
  • Until the January thaw comes and they can go cruising and end up at some romantic restaurant.

Someone  will eventually be left behind. The holidays are tough enough being a widow/widower let alone having to also deal with the anniversary of the proposal.

Joe proposed on a typical, ordinary Friday night in June, now we had another holiday on the calendar to celebrate.

It’s Expected

So tell them to skip the holiday proposal and wait until another day.  Besides, everyone expects proposals this time of year.  The question should be popped when she and her friends/family least expect it.

In 20, 30, 40 years or more it will bring the surviving spouse joy and in the mean time, the couple have another holiday worth celebrating.                 😉

Welcome Azerbaijan to JoyReturns and than you for stopping by yesterday.

Joy has now spread to 62 cities in 53 countries.  Woot! Woot! or as we say here in Cleveland Indians’s territory – WAHOO!!!!
