How Rommie & I Spent Our Memorial Day Weekend.
Well it was quite a Memorial Day weekend around here.
Rommie and I attended the Golden Retrievers In Need “Bark In The Park” on Saturday. There were over 60 dogs in attendance ready to go for a walk around the park with their owners. One would think there would be a lot of barking – but there was not.
We were both so tired we went to bed at 9 p.m. Saturday night and slept straight through until 6 a.m. Sunday morning. Even the cardinals did not wake me up with their singing at 5 a.m.
The heat kept us indoors Sunday and Monday. The only outside work I did was mix up a batch of weed killer and gave the weeds in my corner gardens a good soaking. They are now a nice toasty brown and hopefully easier to pull out. Then it will be time for dirt and mulch. I feel the need, the need for
speed Advil coming on 😉
We watched “Mama Mia!” and played some cd’s Sunday and Monday. I love that movie. It is a good one if you are having a bad day because of the ABBA music. It is hard to sit still when watching the movie.
There were big happenings regarding the readership of JoyReturns. Slovenia and Sri Lanka stopped by to read JoyReturns for the first time. This makes 56 cities in 48 countries in which people have read this blog. The total miles traveled is now up to 551,369. Wahoo!
I Scream, You Scream…For “Frosty Paws?”
We topped off the weekend with a Frosty Paw for Rommie and a lemon Italian Ice for me tonight. Rommie just loves lying in the yard licking her “Frosty Paws”, she prefers the peanut butter flavor but does not turn her nose up at the original plain flavor.
Well that’s all for now. Not sure what I am going to write about this week but I can guarantee you one of my infamous slideshows on Friday June 1st. For those of you new to my site, I sometimes create a Powerpoint deck of photographs I have taken and set them to music. Here is the link to the Welcome To The (Slide)Show page where you can view past shows.
Don’t forget, today is Tuesday and that means a new picture at OgleOhio.com.
