Spring & Faith
I was scrolling through spring quotes on http://www.quotegarden.com/spring.html trying to find some spring wisdom to share with you.
Well, I found some good ones and then I found the ultimate one.
First the good ones:
- No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. ~ Hal Borland
- Spring is sooner recognized by plants than by men. ~ Chinese Proverb
- If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. ~ Nadine Stair
- If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. ~ Anne Bradstreet
Now for the ultimate quote not just about spring but also about faith.
You can’t see Canada across Lake Erie, but you know it’s there. It’s the same with spring. You have to have faith, especially in Cleveland. ~ Paul Fleischman
Yes, when lake effect snow hits, you have to have faith spring will come. (Lake Effect Snow: Frigid artic air blows across a warm Lake Erie. Result: Kids usually have no school and cities spend lots of money on street salt and overtime for snowplow drivers.)
May you always have faith that spring will follow winter, whether brought on by Mother Nature or a personal crisis.
He replied “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20 (NIV)
