Another Joyful Suprise – Very Inspiring Blogger Award
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Thank you to Sherline from Sherline’s Watchu Thinkin’ Blog for the nomination. I am overwhelmed to be considered an inspiration. I have struggled with writing this part of the post because of my range of emotions. My emotional state is not just because of the award but of what Sherline said in one of her comments to me:
“Your written work is really a beacon of hope for those who have struggles in their own walk. Keep up with the great work because I know it’s blessing people out there as much as it has blessed me.”
I am truly blessed to be able to write this blog. Thank you God for giving me the ability to be a beacon of hope.
Now for the 7 bloggers I decided to nominate. Each and every one is an inspiration in their own unique way. Please explore their blogs.
Now it is time for me to bare all, well not really, but tell 7 things I love. Here we go and it is time to switch moods.
I loved taking French in high school. (The only other option was German and even though I am ¾ German, exploring my German heritage never appealed to me.) However, bibliotheque is the only French word that seems to have stuck with me. The only phrase I remember is “Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir” but that I learned from Lady Marmalade. So to translate what I remember is “Will you come to bed with me tonight in the library?”
I love my weird, wicked sense of humor – See above. But I can also be very serious.
Like my nominator, I love pizza. My current favorite is pepperoni, Italian sausage, and pineapple. The sweetness of the pineapple compliments the pepperoni and Italian sausage.
I love Spring. It is a time of rebirth with everything being new, clean, fresh and exciting.
I love Corvette’s. My favorite color for a Corvette is white. White ‘vette’s became my obsession when I saw a picture of David Cassidy standing next to his new one.
I love quotes. Whether they are uplifting, inspirational or from scripture and it does not matter if the people are politicians, motivational speakers or the boy next door. They bring a little bit of joy, hope, and bravado just when you need it. They sometimes can cause you to re-think your views. Today I came across this quote from GE on LinkedIn:
“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.”
I love comforters. There is nothing like snuggling under a nice fluffy comforter in a big bed with lots of pillows.
So let’s put this all together – who is game for a pizza slumber party in the library sometime this spring? If you are, don’t forget a nice big, fluffy comforter. We will spend the night reading different books of quotations and keep record of our favorites. Before the party we will go cruising in a white corvette with David Cassidy and The Partridge Family singing “I Think I Love You” on the 8-track cassette player.
Thank you again Sherline.
Thank you to my readers, whom I consider my friends, for your continued support and wonderful comments.
May you have an amazing weekend filled with joyful adventures.
“May the roof above us never fall in and may the friends gathered below us never fall out.”
