What better way to start a weekend than with some liquid refreshment. There is nothing like a tall, cold refreshing drink. Especially when the drink is supplied by Mother Nature. Yes, I am talking about rain. Something our parched yards, flower beds and souls have been needing.
Well it rain this morning and I grabbed the camera to preserve this moment because it might not last long. It lasted a couple of hours and then got warm ( 80′s) and humid.
Enjoy the following pictures.
The overflow from the awning did not just end up on the ground, it filled Rommie’s pool.
You can tell by the tidal waves we had a heavy downpour.
Luckily I moved what is left of my geraniums so they also got a good soaking. They did slowly start coming back once the 90 degree weather cleared out. Hopefully they will do better now.
While I am grateful for what we got, we need so much more. We need a steady gentle rain that lasts for days.
Rain was just one exciting thing that happened today. Before the rain Rommie had an encounter with a green alien, that story is the subject of Monday’s “Rommie & Michele’s Backyard Safari Adventures.”
Don’t forget another weekend of “Swingin’ Summer Saturday’s and Sunday’s starting tomorrow.
Have a joy filled day and weekend,
Michele
Friday Morning Update: More liquid refreshment on the way according to the radar! Should only last about 30 minutes, but my yard and flowers will take whatever Mother Nature wants to give.
